Welcome to High School
Encouraging a Higher Level of Thinking

Our high school program emphasizes challenging academics in a Christ-centered environment. CCA uses curriculum material produced by Christian Publishers such as BJU Press, Abeka, and Summit Ministries with the use of some additional resources. Biblical Worldview formation is a continual focus at this level. The core curriculum includes Bible, English, math, science, social studies, foreign language and Health & PE meeting the state’s graduation requirements. Students choose between the college preparatory curriculum or the Scholars Program, which includes honors level classes. Eligible high school juniors and seniors are also able to participate in the dual enrollment program through Truett McConnell University. High school students at CCA take the SAT in the fall. CCA is a testing site for the SAT. We also offer SAT prep classes to our students.

Electives for high school include band, chorus, Intro to art, advanced art, yearbook, STEM, Computer Science, Digital Literacy Skills, CAD, cybersecurity, strength & conditioning and team sports. Co-curricular activities and competitions are available for those students who wish to take part in these activities. There are several opportunities each year for ministry and/or educational trips outside of the classroom. CCA students volunteer hours of service to local organizations and ministries.

There are several opportunities each year for ministry and/or educational trips outside of the classroom. CCA students volunteer hours of service to local organizations and ministries.  Weekly chapel services begin with student led praise and worship. Speakers include staff members as well as local ministry leaders. Discipleship groups led by mature Christians enable students to exercise and grow in their faith and develop meaningful relationships beyond the classroom. A campus pastor is on staff and available to meet with students on an individual basis. High school students attend a three day spiritual emphasis retreat each fall. Seniors have the ability to participate in leadership training opportunities.
